Insurances We Accept

Form for dental insurance in Houston sitting on desk

There are many different companies that sell dental insurance, and they may provide a wide variety of plans to suit the needs and budgets of different types of clients. All of the insurance lingo in your policy may leave you feeling a little confused, but our team is here to help you navigate all of its nitty gritty details.

We are happy to accept payment from virtually any insurance company. Examples of the insurance providers we work with include:

How Dental Insurance Works

Would you like to get a quick overview of how dental insurance works? As we noted above, every policy is a little different. In general, however, many insurance plans work something like this:

  • Preventive care (routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays): 100% covered
  • Minor restorative services (fillings, etc.): 70 – 80% covered
  • Major restorative services (crowns, dentures, etc.): 50% covered

Your policy may have a waiting period before you are eligible to receive certain services. It also likely has an annual maximum, which is the highest dollar amount that your insurance company is willing to pay out for approved services within a calendar year.

In-Network vs. Out of Network

If a dentist is in-network with your insurance plan, it means that they have a contract between them that controls pricing. It ensures that patients and the insurance provider can save money. If a dentist is out of network, you may still be able to use your insurance with them (this is especially true of PPO plans). However, out of pocket costs can vary significantly between in-network and out of network care providers.

Regardless of whether or not we are in your plan’s network, we will be happy to verify your coverage and help you use it to the full. You can rely on us to be upfront about pricing and provide you with honest, exceptional service every step of the way.

When Insurance Doesn’t Cover a Treatment

If your insurance does not cover a particular treatment, or you will still have a significant bill even after your insurance company accepts your claim, we will be happy to help you apply for financing through the Health Advantage card. It has a reasonable everyday APR, and promotional plans can help you to save even more on interest.
