DENTURES – HOUSTON, TX

Turn back the clock on your smile

You eat right and take care of yourself to make sure you look your best, but your teeth may be one part of your appearance that you are overlooking. Perhaps some of your teeth have gone missing for various reasons, making it difficult to eat certain foods or even to talk or sing as well as you once did. If you find that you miss the time when you could smile confidently with a full set of bright white teeth, there’s no reason why you can’t have that same look and feel again.

Muse Dental Studio can enable you to turn back the clock, restoring your old smile with full or partial dentures. Dentures can be removable or permanent and can restore your smile to its former good looks. Contact us for a consultation to see if dentures can bring back the smile you miss.

Are you a candidate for Dentures?

Dentures are artificial teeth with an acrylic base that fits snugly over your gums. Properly made, they are secure and can restore your biting force and your smile. You can eat and speak with them normally. If you are missing all or most of your teeth, Full Dentures may be the right solution for you.

Partial Dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. The acrylic base fits over your gums and is secured with a wire that wraps around your natural teeth, restoring your bite and your smile.

Full and Partial Dentures are removable for cleaning and care. Some people who need dentures opt for Full Dentures supported by Implants, which remain in your mouth permanently.

How are Dentures made?

All dentures are custom made. Here’s the process:

  1. The dentist will take very detailed X-rays of your mouth and impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth.
  2. A dental laboratory will then use the pictures and impressions to make a model denture for you to try on.
  3. During an office visit, the dentist will adjust the model for fit and decide what, if any, changes may be necessary.
  4. The laboratory will make your permanent dentures using the model and the dentist’s specifications.
  5. You’ll come back for a final fitting, and again, the dentist may make additional small changes to ensure a perfect look and fit.
  6. You’ll have brand new teeth and a brand new smile!

Benefits of Dentures

Dentures offer many benefits, including:

  • Increasing your self-esteem
  • Improving the appearance of your smile
  • Providing support to your facial muscles
  • Improving your speech and bite
  • Easily removable and cleanable
  • Comfortable
  • Very likely covered by your dental insurance

Implant-Retained Dentures

One of the drawbacks of removable dentures is that changes to your gums or bone structure may cause them to loosen and slip. Dentures anchored by four to six implants are permanent and guaranteed not to move or slip.

We offer dentures firmly held in place by dental implants that are anchored directly in your jaw bone. This helps with bone health as well as keeping the dentures secure. Implant-retained dentures are extremely stable, allowing for normal bite force and speech.
